The Taylor legacy began when Charles Taylor immigrated from England in 1832 and founded Charles Taylor and Sons Refractories along the Ohio River, producing premium “Tiger” brick known for its strength and refinement. In 1949, Charles D. Taylor established Taylor Clay Products in Salisbury, North Carolina, with a focus on high-quality architectural brick and tile. Today, under the leadership of Charles D. Taylor Jr., the company continues its tradition of craftsmanship and innovation—offering durable, beautifully designed products like IQ Brick that carry forward the same commitment to quality, strength, and excellence that has defined the Taylor name for generations.
